Powerful hydration for dog and cat eyes
Eye Moisturizer with two humectant agents
Ocucan Eye Drops are moisturizing drops (artificial tears) with hyaluronic acid that prevent eye irritation, dry eyes and the risk of infection associated with the lack of tears in dogs. Ocucan Drops moisturize the eyes and restore proper tear film balance in dogs. The hyaluronic acid in its formula helps retain water and adhere the tear film to the corneal epithelium. The viscoelastic properties of these drops cause them to be activated by blinking, resulting in a long-lasting effect. Unlike other moisturizers, the hyaluronic acid remains in the eye for several hours. The formula of Ocucan Drops is adapted to the tonicity and pH of your dog’s tears. This product has been packaged under sterile conditions and its ingredients are totally compatible with your dog’s tears. The preservative contained in the formula is harmless to dogs’ eyes and ensures that the properties of the product remain intact throughout its shelf life.
Dogs and cats often have sore eyes caused by dryness.
Soreness can be brought about by a variety of causes, but it is usually mild and easy to cure. Your pet's eyes may feel sore, for instance, when a foreign body gets into their eyes, when they come into contact with irritating substances or when they produce insufficient or poor tears.
Irritation is often linked to problems with dry eyes when they do not produce enough tears.
Manufactured under aseptic & sterile conditions
Ocucan Eye Drops is formulated to mimic the natural tonicity and pH of your pet's tears. Bottled in aseptic conditions and formulated with ingredients that are fully compatible with your pet's tears.
A buffered isotonic saline solution containing hyaluronic acid, hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC), disodium edetate and polyhexamethylene biguanide 0.0001%.

Ocucan Eye Drops Indications
For moisturizing dog and cat eyes to prevent dry eye.
To Prevent eye irritation and infections associated with pets producing insufficient tears.
To moisture and enhance tear quality when their tear balance has been upset.
To relief your pet's eyes when they feel / look sore.
Comfort the eyes when they come into contact with irritating substances.
When animals do not blink under anaesthetic (professional use)
Why do pets cry?
Teary eyes can be a sign that the animal's tears are not working properly.
The tear film is a coating that is mainly intended to keep eyes suitably hydrated to ensure good eyesight. It also has the task of protecting eyes from external threats. Tears are constantly being renewed which helps to protect eyes from pollen, dust and any other harmful substances.
Excess tear production can occur when your pet's eye calls for that protective function to remove a foreign body or to counteract the presence of another substance that is irritating the animal's eye. This defence mechanism that comes into play when an aggression occurs is often not enough because a dog's tear production capacity is limited.
It is recommended artificially providing a saline solution with a similar pH, tonicity and composition to the tear film, which involves using an eye cleaner such as Ocucan Eye Cleaner or artificial tears like Ocucan Eye Drops, which have been formulated specially for this purpose.
Method of Use
For preventing or easing dry eye
Place one or two drops in each eye twice a day or as often as recommended by your vet. Try to ensure the animal's eyes are open so the drops enter the conjunctival sac.
For moisturization during anaesthetic
Place several drops in each eye throughout the procedure whilst the animal's eyes are open.
