What is Lung Gold?
Lung Gold is a combination of natural herbal ingredients and vitamin C designed to help maintain strong immunity in your dog’s lower respiratory system. Lung Gold was developed by our holistic veterinarian to help dogs boost their resistance to infections that affect the lungs and which can cause restricted breathing and decreased oxygenation of tissues. Lung Gold works deep within the lungs to support against a variety of conditions that can cause similar symptoms.
The respiratory system can be divided into two areas: the upper and lower respiratory systems. While the upper respiratory tract includes the mouth, nose, sinus, and throat for example, the lower respiratory tract includes the bronchial tubes and the lungs. Just like us, our dogs can experience inflammation and restriction in either area. But, it is in the lungs and bronchial tubes where respiratory illnesses can become very serious.
If your dog is struggling with a condition in the lower respiratory tract, additional immune support in the lungs may be needed to help maintain normal dilation of the airways. Even though they often show similar symptoms, issues in the lower respiratory tract can have different causes such as:
Infections (viral, bacterial or fungal)
Allergies (environmental, such as cigarette smoke)
Parasites (heartworm, lungworm)
Regardless of the cause, if your dog is experiencing compromised ventilation and inadequate gas exchange in the alveoli of the lungs, vital oxygen may be prevented from entering the blood. If the level of oxygen in the blood is too low it can take a serious toll on your dog’s entire system, and may require the guidance of your veterinarian as needed.
In addition to appropriate medical treatment, there are preventative measures you can take as a pet parent. Avoid indoor and outdoor environmental toxins (such as cigarette smoke, car exhaust), as these can make a lung problem worse. Keep the air quality as clean as possible and eliminate additional stressors to the lungs. Provide good indoor ventilation, and don't let your dog ride in the back of a pick-up truck where exhaust fumes are heavy.
If your pup is currently facing treatment, help his or her recovery with supplements that directly and naturally support lower respiratory tract health.

Why Choose Pet Wellbeing Lung Gold for Your Dog?
Created by Veterinarians & Clinical Herbalists
To fulfill our vision, our on-staff holistic veterinarians have developed the Lung Gold formula using time-honored, traditional uses of herbs, fully integrated with the latest scientific research. Each botanical ingredient is individually extracted, preserving the full biochemical spectrum of the herbs to ensure maximum potency of the final product. Each ingredient in Lung Gold offers unique properties to support your dog’s natural, healthy functionality:
Reishi fruiting body (Ganoderma lucidum): This medicinal mushroom supports the body's natural immunity to bacterial, viral and fungal infections, improving vitality in the lungs and bronchial tubes.
Coptis root (Coptis chinensis): This root is used for both anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial purposes and works well to dry secretions in the lungs.
Fresh Marshmallow root (Althaea officinalis): Used against lung infections, this root is very high in mucilage and helps soothe mucous membranes in the lungs, digestive tract, and urinary tract.
Jujube fruit (Ziziphus jujube): Adding a pleasant taste, this nourishing tonic is believed to increase stamina and strength and helps maintain a healthy immune system.
Chinese Skullcap root (Scutellaria baicalensis): Mainly supporting the nervous system, this root has the added ability to maintain immunity within the lungs.
Fresh Grindelia flower (Grindelia spp.): Used primarily for lung infections and as an herbal expectorant, Grindelia is a potent anti-inflammatory, helping to resolve irritation and cough.
Usnea thallus (Usnea barbata): Usnea, also called "Old Man's Beard", supports immunity and works particularly well for immunity in the throat and lungs. Appropriate for bacterial and viral conditions.
Ginger rhizome (Zingiber officinale): Supports expectoration and the body's innate ability to fight infections; provides a gentle warming property to the overall formula.
